Your outdoor living and dining rooms don’t need to look boring. Cover traditional indoor sofas and chairs in Sunbrella or other sun and mildew resistant fabric and move them outside for the warm months. The range of textures and colors in indoor/outdoor textiles is amazing.
Don’t match all the materials or all the furniture. Mix it up. Some stone, some wood, a little iron and some teak makes for a much more interesting space.
More outdoor tips
Bring indoor accessories like antique candelabra outdoors when entertaining.
Mix and match chairs and tables. It’s more interesting than perfect sets of furniture.
Add a treillage screen with mirrored insets. Mirrors in a garden create magic.
